Recognized as the expert in industrial refrigeration systems, Alta Refrigeration has been in business since 1975. We specialize in the design and installation of field-erected, refrigeration systems for multi-temperature distribution centers, food service centers and cold storage facilities.  In 2013, we introduced our modular industrial refrigeration system (known as Expert) as an efficient alternative to low charge ammonia refrigeration systems. Our industry-leading EXPERT line delivers the same refrigeration power as custom-built ammonia systems while using no water with the same annual power consumption.

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our company to train as Industrial Refrigeration Service Technicians.  We will provide up to three months of paid training to include on-the-job training with experienced Service Technicians.  Travel is a requirement of the position as we are a multi-state service provider.

Upon completion of our on-the-job training program, you will be responsible for performing the following:

• Travel to customer sites to maintain and troubleshoot equipment built and sold by ALTA Refrigeration.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on:
  • Mechanical components and systems such as, motors, bearings, pumps, and pulleys.
  • Electrical systems, low and high-voltage “24VDC -480VAC”
• Perform annual, quarterly, and weekly maintenance schedules and tasks assigned by
  the supervisor
• Perform work in a safe manner

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Two years of HVAC experience or successful completion of an accredited HVAC program
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (EXCEL, Word and Outlook)
• Aptitude for mechanical processes
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements
• Self-starter
• Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
• Available to travel up to 80%
• Availability to travel by plane to work sites
• Safely operate/drive a company vehicle
• Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required
