Electrical Panel Builder

ALTA Refrigeration has an immediate need for an experienced electrical panel builder. We are looking for an individual with a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, in a warehouse environment, is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading electrical drawings to layout and fabricate electrical control panels per UL508A
  • Work with other team members to test completed panels
  • Creating as-built drawing mark ups and bill of material

Draftsman - Project Assistant

Requirements

  • Must have experience in the following drawing programs (2D and 3D):
    • AutoCAD

Refrigeration Service Technician - Lakeland, Florida

Location:  Lakeland, Florida

Status:  Full-time/Hourly, Non-exempt

We are looking for experienced refrigeration technicians that can travel to the customer site within the state of Florida to diagnose and solve their problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts in the food and beverage, refrigerated storage, pharmaceutical, and gas processing industries
  • Perform routine and emergency service on commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications.
  • Maintain and manage truck inventory and / or job tool boxes in an accurate, neat and orderly manner as well as adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines (If applicable).
  • Expected to achieve RETA CARO certification.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in commercial industrial refrigeration service
  • Experienced in servicing a wide range of equipment including central ammonia/Freon systems, chillers, HVAC, ventilation, etc.
  • EPA 1 and 2 or universal certification
  • Valid Driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects up to fifty pounds
  • Must be able to pass physical examination and Respirator Fit Testing
  • Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of industrial refrigeration systems and control alarm systems
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and highly motivated
  • Self-starter
  • Basic computer skills (electronic documentation)
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
  • Available to travel up to 25%
  • Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required
  • Ammonia Refrigeration Service experience a plus but not required, will train the right candidate.
  • RETA certification preferred

Electrical Installer

Location: Peachtree City, GA

Status: Full-time/Hourly, Non-exempt

We are seeking an electrical installer to work in our manufacturing shop in Peachtree City location.  The electrical installer will perform electrical work on our modular industrial refrigeration units.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mounting electrical boxes
  • Installing conduit between electrical boxes
  • Labeling and pulling wire through conduit following provided electrical drawings
  • Making wiring terminations inside the electrical panels following provided electrical drawings

 Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply electrical drawings to complete job tasks
  • Ability to work in compact spaces
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, and reach
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to learn
