Available Positions

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our company to train as Industrial Refrigeration Service Technicians. We will provide up to three months of paid training to include on-the-job training with experienced Service Technicians. Travel is a requirement of the position as we are a multi-state service provider.

Upon completion of our on-the-job training program, you will be responsible for performing the following:

  • Travel to customer sites to maintain and troubleshoot equipment built and sold by ALTA Refrigeration.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on: Mechanical components and systems such as, motors, bearings, pumps, and compressors.
  • Electrical systems, low and high-voltage “24VDC -480VAC”
  • Perform annual, quarterly, and weekly maintenance schedules and tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • Perform work in a safe manner

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least two years of HVAC experience or successful completion of an accredited HVAC program
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (EXCEL, Word and Outlook)
  • Aptitude for mechanical processes
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
  • Available to travel up to 80%
  • Availability to travel by plane to work sites
  • Safely operate/drive a company vehicle
  • Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. This includes moving and lifting up to one hundred 30 pound refrigerant bottles on any given day and carrying 20-30 pounds of tools in a bag or backpack regularly
  • Must be able walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp objects
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and heights

Status: Full-time, In-Office/Salary, Exempt

We specialize in the design, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of industrial refrigeration systems for multi-temperature distribution centers, food service centers and cold storage facilities.
We are financially strong and place extreme value on our team. As a result, we have very little employee turnover and high customer satisfaction. We are looking for team members that want a long-term career with a company that will invest as much in them as they invest in the company.
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to manage and perform the daily accounting operations of the company and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial records. This position reports to the CFO and directly supervises one A/P associate.

Please note that this is a 100% in-office position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Complete general ledger administration and journal entries
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing and audit support activities
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
  • Ensure proper submittal of monthly sales and use tax filings across multiple states
  • Assist with financial reporting and cash flow management
  • Maintain fixed asset program and accounting
  • Administer lease tracking, accounting, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Maintain organized financial records and strong internal controls
  • Drive improvements in internal accounting procedures
  • Supervise and support accounting staff while delegating daily tasks
  • Serve as payroll back-up for HR when necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes
  • Experience with sales and use tax preferred
  • Experience with project, construction, or manufacturing accounting preferred
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, as well as experience with MS Access
  • ERP software experience

We are seeking a Materials Handler to join our manufacturing shop in Peachtree City location.  The Materials Handler will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations by providing parts and supplies to manufacturing production workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Physically pull parts from the warehouse for modular refrigeration units with accuracy
  • Operate forklift in and around warehouse
  • Maintain correct inventory and maintain clean warehouse
  • Restock parts as needed
  • Notify Inventory Manager of low stock
  • Comply with company and shop related safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of inventory control experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred
  • Forklift certified preferred
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
