ALTA Refrigeration is a team-driven company proudly staffed by more than 150 men and women. Our goal is simple: diligently develop industrial refrigeration systems that work on time, every time. Relying on the products and the people who have earned the ALTA name means getting a hands-on approach to problem-solving and equipment that is made in the USA and built to last.

OUR COMPANY HISTORY

We have been designing and installing industrial refrigeration systems for more than 40 years. Our company was formed in 1975 as Industrial Refrigeration Services. In 1999 under the guidance of previous IRS management, ALTA Refrigeration was formed, and Eric and Justin were moved into management roles as part of the transition team.

A recognized expert in the industry, the ALTA name has set the standard for industrial refrigeration systems. With this influence, we can improve on-the-job education and help shape codes and standards.

Eric Brown, PE PRESIDENT | PRINCIPAL

Eric has over 22 years of professional experience in industrial refrigeration. He earned his BSME degree from Purdue University and is registered as a Model Law Citizen with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Eric’s passion and commitment for this industry is demonstrated not only by guiding ALTA to always be better, but also being personally involved with organizations such as CEBA and RETA, always promoting new ideas and direction for the industry.

About half way through college, I decided to take a 2 year hiatus. During these two years I worked in the field (construction) and learned firsthand what it takes to install industrial refrigeration systems. This gave me a perspective that many miss out on, and especially for me, the fundamental of hard work. I would have to attribute my passion for promoting skilled labor to this perspective. Working side by side with all trades of ALTA (and loving every minute of it) really solidified the founding principle of doing whatever it takes to help all of ALTA’s employees and customers SUCCEED.

JUSTIN BROWN, PE EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT | PRINCIPAL

Justin Brown leverages 22 years of specialized knowledge in manufacturing, processing, storage and distribution to invent ALTA’s turnkey solution for alternative refrigeration. Justin has also served as Project Engineer in the ASHRAE Research Program. He earned his BSME degree from Purdue University and is a registered Professional Engineer in 26 states. Justin is totally committed in developing new concepts and ideas such as the expert refrigeration system that has been a real game changer not only for Alta but our customers!

OUR SAFETY STANDARDS

All ALTA Refrigeration employees undergo extensive training in their line of work. We are a zero-tolerance company that requires strict conformance with these measures as well as continued participation in routine training.

For our protection as well as yours, we ensure our personnel and subcontractors follow procedures and OSHA guidelines for a safe work zone.
